Why does he have to prove that he can take dirt in his face? If he can win doing what he's doing and look the same at the end of a race as he did when he started . . . nothing wrong with that and win the way he does too . . . no flies on that milk. If it ain't broke, etc, etc. He didn't even look like he broke a sweat when he finished yesterday. I don't think we've seen his best yet. Sure he had to work a little to win but . . . you have to get nit picky to down play his performance.

Don't throw the time thingy at me either. You don't run horses to set track records, you run them to win. Who cares what his time was except all the number crunchers . . . he knows where the finish line is and what he has to do to get there before anyone else and he has a good pilot on him to help make that happen.

Well Chrome proved he couldn't, at least not down on the inside. It definitely showed itself in the Belmont. Knowing that a horse does or doesn't like that can tell you not to put them in a certain place. Finding out whether or not AP resents it can make a difference in tactics. Right now, they're just gonna have to hope it's not a problem. Of course he's such a talented horse he might just put himself in a position that it doesn't matter. I see people commenting on a horse with frequent bad racing luck and they say if he/she ever gets a good trip watch out. The thing is really good horses make their own luck and horses that aren't as good as we think can get themselves into trouble but here we are blaming that for their finish. Maybe AP's making his own luck.

31 times. And Gweeds is actually a pretty good guy. I've known him since I ran a chat room 15 years ago on another site. I will say he can get wound up.

First off what does "try to catching the replay" mean . . . and so he hit him 27 - 31 times as EP put it . . . some horses need extra attention. AP never flitched his tail once during the finish line run, which most horses do if they don't like the whip or was he just being taped a little to keep his mind on business. And even with all those "hits" he still didn't break a sweat.

So your point is??? A
