It isn't Joey's fault.

You've got to know when to gin up your base and when to let them cool their jets.

He's just reacting to stimuli.

Hmmmmm, sounds familiar..

Please note that in August 2008, during President Bush's final months in office, a strikingly similar scenario played out when Russian forces invaded the former Soviet state of Georgia. At the time, the Bush White House sounded an awful lot like today's Obama White House. From Bush spokeswoman Dana Perino, now a Fox host:

"The United States supports Georgia's territorial integrity. We call for an immediate ceasefire. We urge all parties Georgians, south Ossetians, Russians to deescalate the tensions and to avoid conflict. We are work on mediation efforts and to secure a ceasefire, and we are urging the parties to restart their dialogue."
And what a shock this is.

Yet unlike today, the Putin-led excursion in 2008 completely failed to spark the panicked rhetoric that's become Fox News' trademark since Russian troops crossed over into Ukraine last week. Notably absent from the 2008 Georgia coverage was relentless finger pointing and blaming the White House for the extreme actions of a foreign leader thousands of miles away. There was also none of the Putin cheerleading that we hear on Fox News today.
Fox reporting at it's best.

that can't be right, bigrun....

dick cheney said that invasion happened under obama's watch.

we're not supposed to be involved all over...but then, we are. nothing like consistency.

You will never get an answer on what he should be doing only what he shouldn't be doing after he does or doesn't do anything at all. Am I the only one that sees the hilarity in Joey posting a joke with the theme of blaming someone for everything?

He should tell the American people the truth. That the overwhelming majority of Crimea wants to align with Russia and we have no dog in this fight.

Stop lying to America about creating serious consequences for Russia. The gullible including Danzig believe freezing non-existent bank accounts and visas have negatively affected people holding those non-existent accounts.

Hint: Putin suggested putting the same restrictions on John McCain and Dick Durbin and unlike their Russian counterparts it didn't seem to bring any serious consequences instead it brought 'laughs' from McCain and 'honor' to Durbin.

You nailed it . How is it that we are a Democracy that views elections that we don't agree with the outcome as shams? It's not like North Korea which had 100% turnout and 100% vote in favor of little Porky.

Only difference, there is media on the ground (tons of European), twitter and facebook accounts of Crimean's etc. etc. verifying the majority want to go Russian.

But I get what you were trying to shoot at when you missed.

slate had an article yesterday, i think i linked it, explaining how the crimean 'election' was a sham. it's very similar to what happened in north korea.
at any rate, since i guess joey isn't going to answer....

what we should do is pretty much what we are doing, next to nothing. but i do find it incredibly amusing to see many of the same people complaining about us bombing libya, now complaining because we aren't bombing russia (or syria). we aren't supposed to be the worlds policeman...except when we are, according to some.
some don't want action-they just want to complain.

The word 'storm' shows the bias being presented. More like they walked in through the doors. Video showing the 'walking in'. Not even a paper cut suffered.
