He did the same thing regarding Syria and ironically it was Putin who bailed him out by brokering a "deal" regarding chemical weapons. Whether the deal was ever going to work was immaterial - he was embarassing the nation with his repeated "don't cross the red line" and then - once again - nothing

Keeping Assad in power with all his weapons sans a small percentage.

Even though he stated if the line was crossed Assad had to go as well as all the weapons.

Wonder if when Barack tells his children to brush their teeth and go to bed he's happy with the mother in law taking over and telling them to use mouthwash and go to bed before the sun comes up.
