![]() i'm even more disgusted now. people playing around like this is some kind of game. playing video poker during hearings, joking around about 'losing' money, rand paul running his mouth...a general asked to make comments, who laughingly says 'no, don't want to'.
acting as tho this will all be sooo easy. yeah, it always works out that way, right? gulf 91 is the last positive action i can recall in that region.

Sep. 5, 2013 9:27 AM ET SPIN METER: Obama on use of US military might By JOSH LEDERMANBy JOSH LEDERMAN, Associated Press ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (AP) — As a candidate focused on his own election, Barack Obama championed restraint and global cooperation when faced with security threats. Now, as commander in chief of a world superpower, his rhetoric of the past is being tested by the reality of today as he presses Congress to allow the United States to launch a military strike against the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, over the objections of most major U.S. allies. It's a posture that conflicts with positions he took as a young senator, a 2008 presidential candidate and even a first-term president as he cast himself as a counterweight to the more aggressive approach to national security embodied by his Republican predecessor, President George W. Bush.

![]() did the book say if saddam was removed, it would lead to chaos in iraq, as well as the rest of the region? that it would embolden iran and syria? that it would make things worse instead of better? that the other dictators all wanted saddam to stay, as they knew they'd all be targets in future? you know...just like putin doesn't want to be seen as backing regime change, engineered and orchestrated by rival countries...because he might well see it happen in russia? i mean, the people can only be placated by so many outdoorsy man with no shirt photos.

![]() I find it amazing the President went to congress 'to get the people's opinion' when all he had to do is look at recent public polls, swallow some pride and admit bombing Syria is crazy. Especially considering you have Assad on one side and al Qaeda on the other. And when Syria has been given more than enough time to relocate and hide military assets.
It seems the President now desires to slap Assad in the face with a glove rather than throw a punch. Very French-like of him. Meanwhile in other news, the Treasury Secretary is warning we're running out of money again and our seniors and military might not get paid. No worries for the likes of Egypt, Afghanistan etc. they getting their paper. But let's keep focus on Syria. ![]() |

i usually like being right...but i'd have rather been wrong about him and everything going on so far this year. thus far, his 2nd term is going really, amazingly badly. the only bright spot seems to be that the economy is doing ok. for now.

![]() Has anyone seen a recent picture of Obama? His hair is rapidly turning pure white as he gets the crap kicked out of him on Syria and Obamacare.
I hope the Syria thing doesn't go for a vote, because there's no way that it will pass. That NY Times picture today sealed the deal. Obama needs to find a way out of this, and quick. I'm beginning to think that Kerry/Obama is starting to look like a Bizzaro Cheney/Bush thing. |
