One of these is guananteed to win $175,000. That is a life changing amount of money. On Friday you have to bet a minimum of 600 on at least 5 races. On Saturday 6 races with a minimum of 900.

How do people usually bet this much per race when you are limited to win place show exacta trifecta? Are people making large win bets usually? Or do people chase the trifecta x20 and hope for a good one?

Different people approach it differently. Personally, I did mostly Win/Place and Exacta wagering with a few tri bets mixed in. I know it is a lot of money but one good exacta hit for a decent size bet can pay for your whole trip. This is the Breeder's Cup where $100+ exactas are not rare. You don't need to take crazy swings to make money.
