He was miserable because he was alone one year on the holiday and a friend of his made him go down and volunteer so he could see what miserable truly was. Said he was ashamed of himself after that. Thats where I got the idea to donate to one of those places.

Same thing happened to me. You dont know what miserable is until you serve a 9 year soup with a black eye.
