I understand the supposed complexities of the situation. But it must not be all that complex because every single anti-whaling group is against ending the ban. How do you explain that? Do you think all these groups are Obama haters? I'm sure if Bush was the President right now and he wanted to end the whaling ban, you would be talking about how complex the situation is. LOL. |

![]() no doubt in my mind that even if whale numbers were higher than ever, anti-whalers would be against removing a moratorium. they're not exactly who i'd ask to give an unbiased opinion.
as for obama 'breaking a promise', he should never have made that or any promise to begin with. promises are made to be broken-if anyone knows that, a politician does! |

![]() What a silly show. Wonder how many millions they spend attacking humans for catching a species of whale that isn't endangered/protected?

I guess since they are only a "threatened species" on the endagered species list, that it's fine to kill them. LOL. "Minkes whales are listed on the endangered species list as a threatened species as there remains only approximately 800,000 minkes in the world. Some Japanese and Russian vessels are still known to hunt minke whales. Minke whales have been protected by international law since 1986." http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_the_min...dangered_whale "Although it's numbers are not endangered it is on the endangered list as a threatened species, and is protected (since 1986) worldwide by international law." http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...&ct=clnk&gl=us |

![]() I think if it passes then Whale Wars will be ramped up as the environmentalists will be even more whacked out than usual
Hell they might get a sub and torpedo the whaling ships |

![]() As long as whales are being killed, I hope Whale Wars stays on the air so the world can see how barbaric these whale hunts are.
Who do the Japanese think they are kidding with that big "reserach" sign on their ships? How stupid do they think people are? Do they honestly think people will think it's ok to kill these whales if they have a sign on their ship that says "research"? |

![]() I'm not fan of the current Prez or anything, but breaking campaign promises isn't news. The bottom line is that there are so many people dumb enough to believe anything politicians say that anyone telling the truth has zero shot at election. You have to lie to win, and they all know it. Tell them what they want to hear....Tell them what's in it for them...Tell them how you are going to "reform"...just don't tell anyone what your real agenda is.

"What we are getting here is a clear indication that most plans will have to change," said James Gelfand, health policy director for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. "From an employer's point of view, that's a bad thing. These changes, whether or not they're good for consumers, are most certainly accompanied by a cost." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...=moreheadlines
