Let's put this in really clear terms, Dell, so you won't continue to misunderstand and falsely represent what I think about this: The attack on Lara Logan was terrible, horrific, and her attacker should suffer five times what she did, then be tortured to death. Yes, I'm very glad she'll be okay, in that the possibilities and closeness of that call were horrible, that she was rescued by Egyptians (who were probably Muslim!) and soldiers (who were probably Muslims, too!) The attack is not representative of Egyptians, or Muslims, or Muslim Egyptians, or Christian Egyptians, or of democracy - it is representative of violent attackers. Violent attackers exist in democracy, too. The referral to Egyptians celebrating democracy by beating and rape was a despicable slam on all Egyptians. Got it now, Dell? Now, if you want to continue to talk about this, tell me what you think about this op-ed. I posted it early in the thread. It's titled, "What not to say about Lara Logan". http://www.salon.com/news/media_crit..._rape_reaction I know you will click and read the whole thing, but here is an excerpt: Quote:
