NYRA moves pro-actively to end Lasix-related late SCR's..
From Jerry Bossert's daily notes in the DN:
Starting Jan. 26, NYRA veterinarians will administer Lasix to runners to prevent a rash of late scratches since the detention barn was ended at Saratoga. Since July 23, there have approximately 30 scratches because of horses not receiving their Lasix shot in a timely manner, which is 4 to 4-1/2 hours before post time. Also in Bossert's piece, The Belmont Cafe the 'place to be' for race watching.
