![]() Magna 5
Leg A - LRL R9 - Clm 10k (10-9) #5 Home Skillet - Makes 4th start of '09 and looks to benefit from the drop & 7/8ths. #3 D'lightful Appeal - Graduated at this level and seems to enjoy the rail. #2 Temple Run - Similar angles to #5 HS - Drops and cuts back. SCRStablemate WON #8 The Juice Is Loose - Has shown speed routing, but must rate to be affective here. Leg B - SA R4 - Clm 40k (40-35) #4 Valiant Effort - Ellis runner figures to sit right off the pace and pounce. #5 Return of the King - Coming off a win at this level, obvious contender. Featured in "Jockeys" Animal Planet horse racing show on Friday night. #3 Steady Demand - Most recent outing was a win by a nose going 6 1/2 in a race that was taken off the turf. Will probably need to stalk behind frontrunners once again. Leg C - GP R9 - G2 Fountain of Youth #11 Quality Road - Talented runner get 8lbs from top contenders, adds lasix, and is outside of the other speed. Must rate and the price is right. WON #9 Capt. Candyman Can - Seems to always fire and should have a similar trip to his G2 Hutcheson victory. #7 Beethoven - Turns back from 9 furlongs in the G3 Holy Bull where he was jeopardized by the outside post. Off the pace threat. #2 Theregoesjojo - Showed he can pick up the pieces in latest and should be passing tiring rivals. Leg D - GG R4 - Alw 30k N1X #6 Mim's Man - Claimed by Hollendorfer after his 6th straight victory in a row. Interesting story as he broke his maiden for $8k and now finds himself as the favorite in an Allowance race. Has an advantageous post position with his main rival drawing the rail. #1 Game of Luck - Holds a nice streak of his own, 6 out of 7 and 5 out of 6 at Golden Gate Fields. Leg E - SA R5 - Clm 40k (40-35) Turf #7 Welken - Makes 1st career turf start after finishing 2nd at 19-1 odds a couple of week ago. She must be doing well for Robbins to swing her back into action this quick. Magna5 - 2 3 5 8 / 3 4 5 / 7 9 11 / 1 6 / 7 = $72 Gulfstream Park R1 - MSW 40k #9 All the Bases - Just got beat a neck as the favorite to an impressive winner from the Pletcher barn (BZ Warrior). Schools out and chalk players should start the day here. 3rd R3 - OC 100k/c Turf #9 Ghost Hour - Can definitely run fresh, 3 out of 4 career wins have come off the bench. WON R6 - Alw 44k N$Y #9 Baletti - (BEST BET) Owns a serious late kick and the race sets up for a closer. 3rd #4 Celestial Comet - Consistent sort should hit the board. SCR #7 Artic Cry - Kenneally steps him up after his win two weeks ago. WON R7 - OC 62k/N$Y #3 Pictural - Looks to make 1st start on dry dirt since being switched to the Dutrow barn. Nice 2nd on turf in last. WON #5 Dream Maestro - Out ran his odds (47-1) in the Sunshine Millions Classic while finishing 4th. SCR #1 Zito Entry -#1 Brave Victory SCR - Faces elders, but is coming off a win and #1a Da' Tara - Hasn't won since his Belmont shocker, but is a major player in this event. 2nd #6 Motovoto 3rd R8 - G2 Canadian Turf #9 Twilight Meteor - Makes 2nd start off a long layoff and should be forwardly placed in a race that appears to lack pace. WON #11 Buddy's Humor - Should be tighter for this and is another one that could assume the lead and not look back. 2nd #10 Bujagali - Never had much of a chance in latest due to traffic trouble and will be overlooked at the windows. #8 Just as Well - Easier spot, but might be against it with the lack of speed. R9 - G2 Fountain of Youth #11 Quality Road - Talented runner get 8lbs from top contenders, adds lasix, and is outside of the other speed. Must rate and the price is right. WON #9 Capt. Candyman Can - Seems to always fire and should have a similar trip to his G2 Hutcheson victory. 4th #7 Beethoven - Turns back from 9 furlongs in the G3 Holy Bull where he was jeopardized by outside post. Off the pace threat. 3rd #2 Theregoesjojo - Showed he can pick up the pieces in latest and should be passing tiring rivals. 2nd R10 - MSW 40k #7 Cardiologist #2 Misty Oak #8 Affirmatif WON #1 Oree PK4 - 1 3 6 / 8 9 10 11 / 7 9 11 / 1 2 7 8 = $72 for a $.50 play PAID $648.40 for $.50 Turfway Park R11 - John Battaglia Memorial 100k #4 Proceed Bee WON #8 Parade Clown 2nd #7 Fitzaslew SCR #2 Stratos #6 Shanes Gold 4th Santa Anita R9 - G3 Sham #1 Hi Flyin Indy - Should relish the 9 panels and glad to see Take the Points make the trip. #12 Take the Points - Pletcher doesn't ship to earn frequent flyer miles. 2nd #5 The Pamplemousse - Tougher task than G3 San Rafael. WON #7 Mr. Hot Stuff -Full brother to Colonel John finally broke through in maiden score. 3rd Good Racing Luck

![]() Gus, i went back and look at the single in the last leg, i thought the ticket was a little different than you normally play, it's agressive, and if you hit you might have one of only a couple of tickets very nice ticket for $72.

![]() U.S Treasury should have been a gift to anyone who took him in the second, the "off Jermaine Bridgmohan" has to be an angle for all serious handicappers.

![]() Thanks Gales
Thanks Frank, I need to take a suitcase to Bookie Magee's on Sunday, J/K, but I will need my SSN card and some deep pockets. Thanks Steve, it was just one of those days. Nice run yourself in the Magna 5and GP PK4 Affirmatif, I didn't think he would win by a pole, but I really liked the works coming in and I usually play Unbridled Song's 1sters.

![]() Gus...Great job on tabbing Quality Road in the FOY. I like his chances as well but not enough to put him on top. Looked like a monster pulling away at the beginning of the stretch. Nice day all around!!!
Question, if the race was at 9 panels, same result?

![]() Thanks Max & Mike,
Mike, It's almost impossible to figure out because plenty of these would've not entered at 9 furlongs. The pace would've been completely different and QR would've had his work cut out for him on the 1st turn especially with Taqarub directly to his inside. I can't wait for the Florida Derby with all the potential prospects and the occasional shippers.
