Still waiting for us to get off the 38th parallel after 60 years. We don't ever leave, and continue to pay, leaving "tripwire" forces all over the globe. Then we get surprised to get entangled in another quagmire someday.

Tell the South Koreans to defend their own country. After all, they have a lot of money there since the entire American steel industry has basically moved there over the last half decade or so.

you're assuming the pentagon wants out of s. korea, japan, germany, etc? ha! we have to have bases for all these extraneous troops that we pay thru the nose for, and all the equipment, materiel, weaponry, etc. gotta have bases to justify all the defense spending.

Is that where steel went, thought it was China.
Steel, auto, textiles, clothes etc, the industries that made us great...was it the unions or greedy owners?....pisses me off no end when i think of back in PA..we had steel factory and circle W providing jobs for the area..mile long W plant gone long ago..auto parts plant and china dishware plant gone..
and here in VA small community, two textile plants, rubber plant, furniture plant and other small business gone with the wind..

WASHINGTON — Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai has refused to sign a security deal with the United States, the White House said, and Washington may have to resort to the "zero option" of withdrawing all American troops from the strife-torn country next year, as it did in Iraq.

Karzai told U.S. National Security Advisor Susan Rice in Kabul on Monday that the United States must put an immediate end to military raids on Afghan homes and demonstrate its commitment to peace talks before he would sign a bilateral security pact, Karzai's spokesman said.

afghanistan has been mishandled from the get-gp. karzai is a joke. just pull everyone out, and to hell with those dipshits. taliban will be back in control in no time, and we will have wasted lives, time and money for nothing. which is typical of d.c. and international policy for decades.
