![]() regarding d-day....not long ago i read a book about a not so well known part of the invasion, something that helped shroud the invasion, and then convinced hitler it was a feint, that the real invasion was soon to come, at calais.
agent garbo, by stephen talty. at the very least google him, but if you like reading at all, get the book about an amazing spy and his story. its fascinating, interesting, and very enjoyable.

guy was awesome. hitler actually awarded him the iron cross, thought til the end that the guy was the best spy they had! when we invaded, had hitler done what was suggested and moved tanks, etc, who knows if the invasion would have held. but garbo kept telling him no, they're coming to calais. hitler actually moved more and more tanks in the weeks after normandy to calais, rather than strenghten his atlantic wall. a great story, especially when you find out how garbo started and where he was. it's amazing.
