again, the only thing dems and riot have to go on is blaming bush
Nobody is "blaming Bush" for anything. Don't insert talking points that don't even apply

The premise of this part of the thread was that voting matters. Elections matter.

Example: Gore won the popular vote, but the Supreme Court stopped the vote re-count while Gore was ahead in the count, and made Bush the winner of the election.

Elections have consequences. Thousands dead in Iraq, sent there by Bush. Those are facts. Bush did that. That's not "blame", that's just reality.

the American Government... composed of democrats and republicans alike, and led by george bush, sent the troops to Iraq. It's been a bipartisan war.

But you knew that.

Yes, I see you don't really want to talk about why elections matter, you rather want to start personal fights with people you dislike.

Carry on without me.

Because voting out of personal spite you have against a person you don't know on an internet message board, voting for a man who says you do not deserve the rights I have and will actively work to keep you there without those rights, is so intelligent?

Yeah - if you are going to vote out of personal spite against a stranger, rather than for the candidate you think will best represent your interests, please, stay home with the rest of the non-voters. You don't deserve to exercise the franchise.

Don't worry - I'm voting for your rights. Maybe you'll be lucky and retain them, in spite of voting against yourself.

honestly, it is BY FAR the best reason to vote for either Romney or Obama given in this entire election process.

the banishment of Riot will have a much greater affect on my day to day life than who is elected in November... especially since i believe romney and obama to be one in the same.

You seem so confident. How come you didn't take Riot up on her offer yesterday?

I'll also hazard a guess that, after Obama wins, all we'll hear from certain members of this board is "but Romney was way ahead! The Democrats stole the election!"

I like to gamble on horses. This banishment thing is not my kind of game. Kind of puts a negative spin on what should be free-wheeling discussion. But they are all adults and willing participants who thought of it on their own, so if that's what the want to do, have at it.
