Sighty, no mocking of Ernie will ever get old.


This seems like a dopey subject -- but it's one that legendary horse bettor and successful horse owner Pittsburgh Phil believed in.

A horse he bought named Belmar had won the Preakness and Belmont Stakes in 1895 (thus making him a dual Classic winner) -- but the horse had fallen badly off of form when he bought him.

'Phil' talks about how he thrived once he hooked him up with a dog.









He utters a line in the following cut that tells you quite a bit about how much the game has changed in 100 years.
