George Smith called himself Pittsburgh Phil.

Maybe you should be called Erie Dick?

He was given the nickname "Pittsburgh Phil" to differentiate him from the other Smiths that also frequented Riley's pool halls and it stuck.

Phil is short for Philadelphia.

Erie Dick sounds too much like Pippy's favorite running back Eric Dickerson.
