Invasor got plenty of positive notice once he arrived in the U.S. And of course he was well covered off of Beyer's negative sentiments about his prospects before the Pimlico Special. Haskin researched a great piece on Invasor for more than a months that includes detailed feedback from his original owner whom he had to search two continents to find. He had been at KMc's BEL barn nearly daily for 2 months around Invasor. It ran last month.

Haskin has been writing glowingly about Invasor from day one. Here's a chat from September where Invasor is cited repeatedly as the main danger to Bernardini in the Classic, and at that time expectantly, in the JCGC .

If you think Invasor has been under-appreciated or under-lauded, you just haven't read enough or weren't clued into his story early on. From my own perspective, this is a totally cool horse who I got to be around this spring at McLaughlin's barn and was juiced about since finding about him going into the Dubai race. Talked extensively with McLaughlin about him on ATRAB as well after the World Cup. The 3yo's are always going to be the more 'hyped' stories though, and Bernardini was the natural focus going into Saturday. It's hardly a lack of appreciation for what Invasor is.
