there is a major difference between the best of the best of the best in the world (NFL players) and the cheap crap Zenyatta was racing against in California.

Unfortunately, you dont have to go through high school, college, the combine and the draft to enter in synthetic Grade 1 races.

Simple question since you totally avoided my post where I broke down the teams Timmy (by himself apparently) has beaten....Are the Chicago Bears a better team with Cutler and Forte or without them?

I mean this whole thing is ridiculous. No sh.it the NFL has the best players in the world. What does that have to do with anything? Some are better than others. Some teams are better than others. Is a win against the Packers the same as beating the Colts right now? Of course not. But by your logic, it is because of how good NFL players are.

I love the rooting against him nonsense too. Who's rooting against him here? I hope they win out because I am frothing at the mouth to bet against them first round in the playoffs. Not because I dislike Timmy, but because I think they are a team whose record looks a lot better than it should because of who they have played and the circumstances in those games.

It's no different than betting against a horse that you think has dressed up form. You don't dislike the horse, connections, etc. You have looked at the race and concluded (right or wrong) that the horse looks better than it really is.

I agree with this. They are the KC of this year, when they get into the playoffs against a good team, they will be exposed on both sides of the ball.

Its really no different then how lucky the Bears got last year playing a bunch of 3rd string QB's in a row.

Yesterday was ridiculous and according to Tebow's pastor, it was because of God (See TMZ for story).

by himself? You apparently don't read because all I've said is the defense is the best part of the team.

The breakdown you did was just excuse after excuse. it didnt deserve a reply.

No, the Bears are obviously better with Cutler and Forte. But Caleb Hanie didnt play that bad. Barber ran for over 100 yards and one TD. sure, he made two bonehead plays.. but Forte could have fumbled just like Barber. Tebow still threw for 160 plus yards at the end of the game. I didnt see Urlacher hurt so you cant make an excuse for that either.

by my logic 7-1 is great in the NFL no matter who you play. Its funny.. all of the talking heads on ESPN and NFL network stopped using the competition arguement because they know its dumb. But nerdy trail analysts are smarter than former players and coaches obviously.

I think of all the crazy last minutes stuff he has been involved in, I think this win was the least about Tebow and the most about the game being in Denver ( I'm sorry..you don't airmail 70 yeard field goals anywhere else), the horrible coverage played by the Bears (Curtis Painter could have completed those) and yes, the incredible stupidity of one Marion Barber. I'll reluctantly give Tebow his due for Minnesota and maybe, maybe even the Jets (it would be more credit worthy if he had returned Sanchez's pick for a TD himself) but yesterday was not about Tebow rather than everything else.

you are right 100%

Prater deserves the game ball and the defense is the reason they've been winning. Brian Dawkins is one of my all time favorite football players. Von Miller is a beast. That D is just good. but you can't completely disregard how good Tebow is in crunch time. If he played all 4 quarters like he does in the 4th he'd have some of the best stats in the league.

A bit surprised considering their play of late, excluding yesterday of course

Archive
The Miami Dolphins fired coach Tony Sparano on Monday, a source confirmed.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross plans to hire Carl Peterson, former president of the Kansas City Chiefs, to fill the role of executive vice president of football operations once held by Bill Parcells.

Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland will stay on board in some capacity.

I think we all knew this was coming. Im not sure why now though. I think the end of the seasson would have worked just fine.

I thought Haley got a bit of a raw deal. They win the division last year. There best offensive and defensive players suffer seasson ending injuries and now Haley is out? Maybe hes not that good a coach, but did he deserve to go now?

Weird, I thought you avoided it because you couldn't (and still can't) refute it. Silly me.

I get it though. You want to be able to have it both ways. It's okay to focus on the good (winning) but god forbid you actually dig a little deeper and look at reasons why it might have happened.

It wasn't the Bears losing the game (which is what all of those brilliant former players and coaches have been saying all day) it was the Timmy's winning it. Barber running out of bounds inexplicably in the 4th wasn't a big deal (despite Timmy saying in the post game conference that it was) because before that he had played well. And the fumble wasn't a big deal because Forte could have done it also.

The amazing thing is you were okay with diminishing Zenyatta because of competition, but you don't think the same litmus test should be applied to the Timmy's. Funny how that works.

The Bears did blow that game, but Tebow also looked good late, again.

because there is no comparison between glorified claimers and NFL teams with sub 500 records. not even a bit of comparison. The only team that could live up to that comparison are the Colts, and Dever hasnt played them. you act like the broncos have been playing against CFL and Arena teams.

I've refuted your stupid competition arguements all day. You cherry pick every little defect of a Bronco competitor. 7-1 is 7-1 no matter how you look at it. The teams the Broncos have beat with Tebow at QB have won 39 games in the NFL this season. The only two teams that completely suck are Miami and Minny. KC can still turn it on and win games. and Oakland, New York, and Chicago just don't suck period. San Diego is on the mediocre bubble.

Denver D and Prater beat the Bears. Tebow was great at the end. Pretty sure I've been saying that all day.

Denver sucked last year. Denver sucked the first 5 games this year. Now they've won 7 of 8... but god forbid, it can't be because they are a good football team.

I diminished Zenyatta because her connections CHOSE to run her against **** horses in **** races, when she should have been taking on the boys in real races. or at least top filly competition in the East.

The Chiefs got beat 37-10 yesterday by the Jets and the Dolphins beat the Chiefs 31-3 this year when they played. The Chiefs have lost 5 of 6 and their lone win during this span is over....wait for it....the Bears who were playing without Cutler and Forte got hurt in the first quarter.

But they can still turn it on and win games? My competition arguments might be stupid to you, but arguing about something you know very little about seems kind of stupid to me.

EDIT- To be fair, the Chiefs are playing without their starting QB and RB (one of those pesky excuses) however they were 4-5 when Cassel went down. They suck.

its stupid to everyone after 8 games. i might not have been stupid after 3 games, but now it is. Know very little about? if that makes you feel better about yourself you can think that. I know as much about pro football (since 1990) as anyone on this site. I live for September through Superbowl.

again, I talk about 7 teams, and you cherry pick the one who has still won 5 times this year.
