I'm sure you are correct.

And if the 9 had won the last leg, our $800 syndicate would have lost money on the play. Does that mean it was a bad bet? Of course not.

I'd love to see what TS played also, it should give a laugh or two.

I wanted to put 10 bucks in the twinspires pool just to see the tickets, but I was to late. Pretty tough to turn a profit on 100,000, but they must have had it a few times at least.

The great irony, of course, is that the very reason it was such a great play today is that some people were foolish enough to continue pouring money into it in prior days.

I did. The tickets I posted were merely decoys.

Was alive to 6 horses in the last leg on a $144 ticket. They finished 2nd,3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 11th.

I just heard the Players Pool had $0.20 on it. They lost 96,800 dollars on the play.

Hilarious...

I mean, hindsight is easy, but wouldn't you have had relatively logical combos 20-30x if you were structuring their tickets?

they lost about 94,500 but who's counting? Certainly not twinspires, they were already winners.

Well, I had $1,000 from Capital OTB and was alive to the 1,6,9,12 in the nightcap for 10 cents apiece. Hardly a good showing on my part but I had a very negative view of Notonthesamepage and really liked the 12 in that race, so it was difficult. I had Notonthesamepage and the 12th race winner as Cs.

The thing about throwing 100k at this was that yeah, your main ticket had to be played for basically $15-$20. This was a sequence where you could do that but would you have had Rachel's Girl in it?

Throwing 100k out there was just silly.

I agree. $100k was just too much money to manage in that pool.

Until we see the tickets we won't know for sure, but doesn't it seem like they tried too hard to get impossible horses on the tickets (likely for "advertising" purposes)? Without focusing on more likely scenarios? Even if they had a negative view on one of the horses in the first five legs, I don't see how they shouldn't have been alive for at least a buck or two.

By the way, nearly everyone I talked to at Keeneland today had a GP ticket going. Was great to see the energy and interest in the building.

i had to split it...i guess you did not read what i said....i partnered up today...because i knew it was going to pay squat...plus i lost 600 hundred yesterday.....so big deal...we picked six and made 1600...i could lose that by friday. i guess thats what people aspire to do split a losy ticket after it was the hype of the century....i bet all the time i could care less about what a parley pays...the pics are always a pool and its all about the money vs. the reward....i would not be surprised if someone did have it 20 times...i don't waste my time to pic 6 and not win something good.
