Thought that line was kind of funny, considering the complaint.

What's my take on this? Hey, he's a Reverend, we all know where these guys are eventually found: in a motel room with their pants around their ankles with someone (anyone!) other than their wife.

I must say, if you allow me to use the words of Mr. Jackson, I take great umbrage at the use of the term bastard child. Really, it's never the babies fault, don't throw that tag around
