All I can add is, if I had a horse, at just about any track, that went 111 for 3/4 in a 10f race, I'd cringe.

Maybe they were scared of Zenyatta and were trying to run away from her as fast as possible. It is believed by some that Quality Road acted up in the gate before last year's Classic because he didn't want to face her.

The idea that the Fat Lunatic doesn't understand why people bet against dramatic underlays makes me question how much he actually knows about betting horses. As I said before the race, Blame was the most likely winner. Given the insanely low odds on Zenyatta, you had to bet against her in all pools. That doesn't mean you don't protect with her in supers, in under slots, but even in that case you are betting against her.

This may not be Horseplaying 101, but it's not so advanced that someone who claims to be as sharp as the Fat Lunatic should understand it implicitly.

Zenyatta-mania created the juiciest overlay (Blame) I've seen in a long time in a race of this magnitude.

He ended his post with "ha ha ha" and is quoting Eastie from PA in his sig line.

I'm just glad I'm not a mod...and all.

I think you have to consider the other posters around here who are grinding it out trying to make the cut.

As you know firsthand - It's not easy sending an assistant to tell a player to get his playbook and report to your office. Yeah, you tell him that maybe he might get a laugh or two at some other board and thank him for his effort, but it's all bullsh!t. He sucks and you know it. This was probably his last shot.

I think he was just one CJ veto away from gaining enterence at RW2 - and now he seemingly can't make the cut anywhere.

He quoted Eastie as his signature? Wow. That's like quoting Pol Pot to defend your position on Human Rights.

What a clown.

The Fat Man's posting career is a lot like Rich Kotite's coaching career - minus those sweet Starter jackets he'd wear on the sidelines.

Should've taken Throat's opinion on this one with a grain of salt, Rupert

That (Z's BCC) was as gutsy a performance as you'll ever see by a t-bred.

By the way, has there ever been a horse which has made chimpanzees out of more people than Z?

Hell, can immediately think of at least a dozen on this board alone…

Hard Spun went :46 1/5 and 1:11 at Churchill in the Ky Derby and still ran 2nd. Big Brown was 3 lengths off a :47 and 1:11 pace and he was 3-4 wide and still won the Derby easily. Funny Cide was sitting 2 lengths off a :46 1/5 and 1:10 2/5 pace in the Derby and he won. The track was probably a little faster on those days than it was in the Classic.

It was a generalization.
