The fact was that the Jets exploited Miami's weaknesses and didn't turn the ball over. You can talk all you want about schedules, injuries, letdowns, etc but I will take turnovers as the key to most games.

IMO the Bears are a play against tonight because GB is a lot better than they are, not because Chicago won last week. Those systems always look a lot better after the games have been played...
i gave the cowboys out too chuck , the texans were flat as a pancake after that big time comeback win the week before in ot in washington

Come on Marty. Are you really saying that the Texans weren't up to play in the battle if Texas? I think it more of a desperate 0-2 Dallas team in a must win situation then the Texans not being really to play their in state rivals.

the 0-2 dallas situation was a part of the play , but, you have to factor in how much that washington game on the road took out of the texans

all week long we heard they were going to go into washington and take care of business , they would get up early and then just run foster down the throats of the skins

well that didn't happen , they expanded every ounce of energy to make that comeback in washington , couple that with the dallas situation and they were a clear bet against

i can maybe buy a letdown in baseball or basketball after a tough game where all you have is a day or two to get ready. football players have a week to build up for a peak performance game day. they don't need to maintain the performance for any more than 3 1/2 hours and then they have another week.

you're overanalyzing if you think anything outside of actual injuries the prior week plays a significant role in a nfl teams performance a week later.

if you think these guys come to play 110% every week you are crazy, there are games that take a lot out of the players and they just can't give a max effort the next week , does it hold true in every case , no , but it does a good portion of the time
