Default 9/3: Saratoga (Day 37); Del Mar ($488k C/O)

Perfect storm of events led to enormous exotics Thursday in the second division of the Riskaverse, and many DTers/ATR listeners scored out. Public's crazed wagering on Lisa's Booby Trap made the bet-against (at any price) an even money favorite at post time, while P6 single and clear standout Queen of the Creek hovered at 4-1. When the Tom Proctor trainee easily wired the field in near record time, she triggered bonus mutuels with the three tabs of 34-1 Ultimate Class (4th choice Exotics Add), 25-1 Kittylicious (3rd choice Next Best) and 15-1 Doe Run (2nd choice Best Value).

The exacta returned $105; trifecta $1,193; superfecta $5,397, and set off a happy celebration amongst many participating patrons in the backyard by Carolina Barbecue. I only had a tri key in what seemed like too tough a spot to fish for supers, but it was one of the best hits of meet and neatly bookended the opening day/opening race bingo of $953. The modest $106 P4 was hit as well, using a $48 play that didn't need to go further than each of the top selections in the quad sequence. Hope you did well!

Twilight action at Saratoga today (2:30pm ET) and a $488k P6 carry at Del Mar starting with the 3rd (7:30pm)!

Rogo
Rogo,

Thanks buddy... Glad you and the family had such a fun day! Their reaction to your hits was fun to watch. After so many years seeing you over by the "JP'S Tree" and not meeting, it's been one of the real delights of the meet getting to know you better. Was very happy for you yesterday and hope you'll join in on the stable as you and your friends/family would be a great addition.

(As point of reference, Rogo banged the late races for $6,000+.)

C/C,

Something went awry with my MacBook during the show, so as of now I'm limited to the BlkBry for posting. Plus, I had to run off track after show. I'll get back and try to get SAR changes and DMR thoughts up before 2:15pm ET.
