Very fast dirt tracks - in general - are among the most deep closer friendly kind of tracks - and you see more total pace meltdown on those kind of tracks than any other.

If the track is souped up and playing very fast - it would likely only help a deep closer like Ice Box.

The slower and more tiring tracks typically favor speed more because jockeys tend to ride them much less aggressively. The opposite happens in souped up dirt tracks.

The most inside-speed biased track in the country right now is at Presque Isle. That place makes the old Keeneland dirt track look like a ridiculously fair race track.
