I believe she actually died when the foal was a few days old. She was
found dead in the pasture. I thought the foal was put on a nurse mare, I didn't think it died also.

2008 colt by Distorted Humor, 2009 Filly by Empire Maker

Found dead in her paddock on May 3, 2009, nine days after delivering her second foal. An autopsy determined that Happy Ticket developed complications that ultimately traced back to foaling.



The Distorted Humor has been nominated to the Breeders Cup but no name is given and it does not show up in Equibase yet.

I first thought she was a fraud..She grew on me and I think she was one tough SOB on the track. Maybe not the fastest or quickest filly, but always came to work with her lunch box and left with a solid effort. I grew to like her a lot. I hope she tossed two good ones?
