Yes, I understand that. It is conceivable in theory that someone could understand the complexities of a situation or conflict yet not be good at solving it. I will give in to you on that point.

But now I would like you to answer my question. If a person (Carter) says that Israel is the greatest human right violator in the world, do you think that is consistent with having a great understaing of the Middle East?

I think that anyone that would make such a statement clearly does not have a good understanding of the Middle East.
