I've just skimmed this thread & might not be on target, but I think Mexicans should be treated like neighbors, same as Canadians, open borders. The Mexican people are not our enemies. If anything, they are willing to work in low-paying jobs that most Americans don't want and the American employers who take advantage of their situation by illegally paying them less than the minimum wage are the ones who should be prosecuted.

You forget the key element: they are brown, which we all know makes them being in our midst incredibly more dangerous than White folks from Canada.
