So, you have spent more time around Curtis Strange on the course than I have? Good to know.
NFL? Come on man, its so different. Contact, emotions etc etc.. Physical.

Like Bigs said...I was referring to the fans.
LPGA players compared to Tiger Woods is like comparing well I'm at a loss of words.
I guess you have spent more time out there caddying out there than I have too, huh?
I hope that parents take your advice and take their kids out and play rounds with their kids and show them how they should act while playing cause I know as well as many other folks who love and respect this game that when the camera and mic are on and your on stage its your chance.

Sad day in Golf when his actions on the course are treated this way. I was raised different. Guess I'm on the outside looking in.
Every single generation has had their own bad boy that displays more emotion and passion than others do. It just happens that Tiger is the best player in the world displaying that emotion and passion. I assure you (and your cousin can probably confirm this) but Tiger is far from the worst behaved golfer on Tour. Pat Perez has gotten better, but his behavior on course would make Tiger look like Byron Nelson.
Probably coming from the same generation who will leave ball marks on the greens, not seed their divots, talk on their cell phones on course, throw their putter when they miss etc etc etc..
I have worked in the golf industry since I was 17 years old, im 37 now, so that makes more half my life. I got news for you, people not fixing balls marks, reseeding divots, etc...has never changed.
Call me old school all you want but that is total BS and laughs in the face of what this sport is all about.

Of all people you should know that man.

You can throw out all the facts you want about who you have been around, worked around and who I have not but it does not diminish one thing.

This game, your way of living, my little brothers way of living, my cousin's way of living, is about the people who made it possible before them and treating the game with RESPECT.

Game = People, places and things.

I do believe Tiger will get it right and shame on me for calling him out

By the way man, again, Curtis Stange compared to Tiger Woods?

Last point from me cause I am leaving in a few short hours for several days and will not be online - just cause you have the background in the game you do Kev does not solidify your opinion one way or the other. I honestly believe you have blinders on when it comes to Tiger Woods. Your background is the game, you make your living in it. I don't, but I look back on how I was brought up in it and the roots and seeds that were planted in my mind. Roots and seeds that centered around actions, behaviors and respect to the game.

There is a difference.

You're not understanding the point I'm trying to make.

I'm not saying my opinion is right, because it is just an opinion. That being said, with my background in this sport, the people I have been associated with, the things I have been privy to, I do tend to think my opinion carrys a little more weight than someone that hasn't been in those situations. It's no different than Byk, Serling, Drugs, CMOrioles, Chucks, etc..and their opinions on horse racing and the industry as a whole. Yes, it is still their opinions, but I'm willing to admit their opinions carry much more weight than mine, as I'm not privy to the situations they are. I'm not surrounded by it 24 hours a day, as they are.

And yes, comparing Curtis to Tiger is very apt, considering they way I am comparing them has zero to do with their talent as a golfer.

I can see why comparing Tiger Woods to Curtis Strange. It sounds like while Strange got fined for his antics, Tiger hasn't. Look I don't like what Tiger does on the course with regards to his antics, but what I saw last weekend was a Tiger that lacked his usual passion. I think he's going to need it, to continue to be successful on the golf course.

Heck I use to be a hothead on the course during High School and College matches. As soon as I was on my own, I've toned down my attitude as it was costing me money in the long run (replacing equipment). But I'm not in the same position as Tiger or any other professional player currently.

I'm not a fan of Tiger, but I've come to appreciate his game, so just let him be.
