I have to say though ... I really love the silks.
An amusing read. Thanks Drugs.

I've honestly seen some good ideas and concepts come from Travis and or Travis sites - this wouldn't be one of them. But damn .. they sure did take a bad idea and make it look colorful and smooth with that fan powered ranking thingy.

We built a flash silks creator when we launched the site. If you sign-up, you can create your own silks... unfortunately, because we were just getting started, we had to limit the various combinations of patterns. So, we tried to do the best we could and use all the common patterns (checkers, diamonds, sash, ball, square etc.). Some are off, but as the users point those out, we try and correct as best we can.

Whether or not you think the Derby ranking is a good thing or a bad thing, the site is completely user-driven, so you have the chance to change or adapt it. The site is a horse racing wiki and allows users to essentially build the database over time, growing exponentially. I know I used it this year to post all the Dubai stakes race results.

An individual owner could go on there and do the same for his horses and it all connects. The ongoing additions to the site are building a great foundation for the future with past performances and historical info on one page. I think it adds value.

Wow. That's really something.

I think you need only scroll down to #28 to be able to fully write it off -- if you hadn't already done so by the time you hit #10.

I'm sure it does. I certainly wasn't knocking the site as a whole.
