I wouldn't be naming the offspring. It's a foal share with Richland Hills, meaning it's 90% likely to be sold.

What about the other 10% any chance the original partnership gets a piece of the foal or was that partnership (DT#1) dissolved when she retired?

Yes, what is the deal? Is there a contract in this 90/10 split? Who's paying the expenses for the mare and the foal? What if (God forbid) the foal doesn't make it and it's another year of expenses before foal number 2?

Where do we stand?

yep-that's what it's called when you remove one of the embryos. twins are very, very rare in horses-and most of the time neither twin survives. best to remove one now, rather than chance problems later in the pregnancy.
