i'm not very familiar with ny breeding rules. does she just have to foal there or does she have to be bred back to a ny stallion as well? |

Resident Mares: Must be continuously in residence in New York State from within 90 days after last cover in the year of conception, and thereafter remain in residence until FOALING the following year, with no breed-back required. Non-Resident Mares: Must FOAL in New York State, be BRED BACK to a registered New York-based stallion, and remain for a continuous period of 90 days after foaling.

EDIT...That's kind of harsh on my part...Let's just say that with all the special fees and deductions from purse accounts, the seperate set of silk rules that are different from every other state and the less than user friendly licensing offices, it wouldn't be my first choice to race unless I lived there. ![]() Its great that our DT baby is going to be a NY bred... one of the BEST breeding incentive programs out there... like 2nd behind New Mexico (GREAT incentive programs).
Pennsylvania is real good also in this category.
