Toyota has taken another week off from car production here in Georgetown (as they are profitable, they plan to stay that way).

Some are doing cleaning, repair and training at the factory.

But the majority have volunteered with a Toyota-sponsored program, and they are shipped out today at a multitude of local non-profits: today the Toyota employees in Georgetown are being paid by Toyota for building houses at Habitat for Humanity, for planting flowers/trees at local parks, etc.

BTW - Toyota employees have repeatedly fought and refused unionization.

Good for them not going Union and it sounds like they dont need one , seems the company is doing a good job taking care of them.
