how can i be mad at something i don't believe in? and just because somer follows another religion, doesn't mean he has 'a problem' with christianity. it works for you supposedly, so that's good for you. but you might want to go study your teachings more, as jesus offered only love, compassion and forgiveness, as well as lack of being judgemental. do you feel you follow his teachings? i think i believe in all those things-but timmi, i never get the sense from you that you have any compassion for anyone who doesn't believe exactly as you do.

I love you and want you to be saved.

i don't get offended, i don't say thanks either. now, if they belabored the point, brought it up every time we met, that would get old.
one thing i had to get used to when we moved down here was the constant invites to church. in maryland, no one much cared where you went. but down here, there are so many churches vying for parishioners, everyone is always seeking new members it seems. i usually thank them politely for inviting me, but never go.

edit~ besides, i was raised roman catholic, and was baptized and then went thru confirmation. as long as i get last rites, i'm in.

I was gonna leave this insanity alone, you have lapsed into one of the worst cases of religious intolerance I 've seen in ages but I won't let you get away with a lie...I have NEVER stated that I don't like religion and you damn well know it. My beef, as I've said many times is not with Christianity but with folks who pervert it's teachings. If you weren't so full of hate and intolerance for anyone that disagrees with you perhaps you'd take the time to actually read what others say and learn what they believe. We've talked before about the structure or institution of religion, and I've agreed WITH you that the institutions are the problem...did you forget those disscussions?
