there are/were sons of seattle slew standing for no stud fee. show's what a decent bloodline can do for you.

there are more accomplished sons of his at stud, maybe not for the fee, but certainly more capable horses out there.

It's a strange vibe, but I have a feeling he does a good job at stud.

I really thought this horse would develop into something very good back in the spring of his 3yo season...guess I was wrong

While I don't share your "vibe," it is certainly at least possible. Given how slow he was, it doesn't seem very probable, but we all know that the way a horse performs on the track is not usually a great indicator of how they will do in the shed.

Well, I think Giant's Causeway has been vastly overrated as a sire, so I wouldn't necessarily jump to breed to NC, but for $5,000, it's not like they're gouging anyone.
