The fig is native to the Mediterranean and I believe Asia while dates grow in more desert climate. They also look slightly different and one grows on a tree while I think the other on a bush.

Really?

I didn't know they were made in chocolate.

Interesting.

I'd rather have the almond joys.

They come two to a package.

And the almonds are on top of the mounds.

The Mounds....but I guess they call them mounds for the Mounds...The candy.

They're little....and that's good.

I never really had plain mounds.

Mounds.

I really love the almond joys.

Oh?

I was not aware of all that. Very interesting stuff.

Now I am unsure as to what I am talking about.

I would think from what I recall the packaging says I like the ones in the bush.

Or on.

You know..that grow there.....on the bush.

As opposed to the tree.

That's what I'm saying.

I'm sure.

They just hang there..the dates.

The fruit dates...or figs....which ever are found by the bush...on the bush.

Brother.

This shouldn't be so complicated.

I'll just go by what you said.

Got it!

I remember hearing the term fig tree.

By process of elimination that means dates are bushes.

No...I mean dates grow on bushes.

They do.

The dates ..I was right on that.....right in that I knew I liked dates from bushes.

Bush dates I guess.

Uh....

......I am merely clarifying.

Golly...I hope I'm right in remembering the fig tree term.

Issac Newton invented that tree I'm pretty sure.

What about dates from flimsy bushes?

Would the date be flimsy too?

Interesting thought.
