![]() The broadcast, I think it was ABC (at the time), after the race, showed the isolated camera on Nafzger and Mrs. Genter with him calling the race for her.
Call me sentimental or whatever you want, but being in this business for my entire adult life, I felt it was one of those moments that just reached out and moved, touched and insprired you. I think it was one of the great moments in horse racing history. Nick Zito's close up when he was winning the Derby was another one. I also remember the close up on my late friend Giles Brophy getting very emotional when he was winning the Derby. But this one here was different. It was special. I wish we could see that part of the broadcase and I've looked for it as well. If anyone ever finds it -- yes, please let us all know. Thanks. Eric |

![]() I think I played Thirty Six Red. He was a Slew...he died too young, just like the winner Unbridled.

![]() The first race I ever watched as a kid was Easy Goer's Wood Memorial and I was hooked onto horse racing. What an addiction to have! ![]() I should mention that I did NOT pick Unbridled for any other reason other than I liked his name. ![]()
