![]() Since Ed is my buddy and I talked to him at length about Derby strategy this year, I can say with 100% certainty that what he said was accurate. He was against Always Dreaming (as was I), and the superfectas played by the Player's Pool were all his. There was nothing nefarious about the approach. It was probably not in good taste for Scully to post a winning ticket when the pool lost, however.

Sorry brotha, I saw the shot, and TOOK the shot. Just some good natured ribbing, rht. Nothing more. And in full disclosure, I would've STILL missed out on the super bc Bsttle of Midway was one of my first tosses. Saw him as a pace casualty. Goes to show what I know!

![]() I typically toss a few bucks into Ed's pools, including this pool. IMO Ed made a few mistake that he acknowledge's and will make changes. I know he feels bad, I know it came off poorly. That said not the end of the world

I've thought the same, but it's easy for us to play MMQB and say "I would have done this/that", but at the end of the day isn't the objective to construct the most optimal ticket based on your opinion? In this case, I would have done the same. I didn't like Always Dreaming, and neither did he. Thus, take a stand against. (I have not seen the actual tickets played since we cannot enter the pools in California, so I don't know what the amount of money was excluding said horse.) It shouldn't matter that it's "other people's money", since in essence they are investing in your "expertise."

![]() Thank you Steve for broaching the topic with both James and Ed on your shows.
I'm sure it wasn't easy as you are close with both of them. You did your listeners a real service and I think you handled it very professionally. |

![]() Had addressed on Night School already with James and were requisite ATR discussions. Appreciate you and everyone listening and being open to DeRosa response and adjustments going forward.

![]() Steve, you handled the topic as I would of expected "First Class". There are plenty of horseplayers that appreciate you bringing it up. Hope they make the proper adjustments moving forward.
