![]() Seems kind of straightforward, lots of mares 4 and up get retired and bred especially ones that could run at this level. Geldings stick around mares that have some worth and ability dont, seems logical but what do I know

![]() In total, yes, there's fewer females than males. But it's August. If you have a 3-5yo F&M, you're still running. While your thought and Matt's make sense, the racing office was mystified that nearly everyone opted for the $35k over the $50k.

![]() The only other thing I noticed Steve (and I don't know how much it comes into play), is that there are no horses from Brown or Pletcher in the 35k race.
