I think that anybody talking privately to another person can use whatever words they want between themselves. Don't you?
If you are offended at that term used by a President in private, for gosh sakes please don't read up about Lyndon Johnson, John Kennedy, Richard Nixon or George W. when they met with Congress and their Cabinets!
