You apparently are confusing debt with deficit - this president has cut the deficit by 3% of GDP.
No, I'm afraid you are confusing the two. The deficit is the amount of shortfall in a year, and if that is not paid by the end of that year, the outstanding amount is added to the cumulative debt.

The 3% cut you refer to is evidently nonsense, as the deficits, however reported, are going up, not down, and are larger than GW Bush's deficits. You can't cut something by 3% and have a larger number.

Or are you going to say that the GDP itself increased in spite of the high unemployment? That would also require some explaining.
