Default 9th Race @ Churchill Saturday Was A Free Tri Give-a-way

Box the 1,2 over all for $12 to get $46? You get the best case senario w/ Happy tik winning and the longest shot 4 running 3rd. That was the easiest race ever! Anybody ever felt that way about a race?

If I recall, that was a 5-horse field so a 1/2/all box would have needed three tickets, or $18 (not $12). So, it paid about 3/2 overall.

Yeah sometimes it just seems that easy. But those are few far inbetween. The one I remember from Saturday is the Jefferson Cup. Brilliant was head and shoulders above the field.

Here is the order with odds
Brilliant - 0.90
Tahoe Warrior - 3.40
Storm Treasure - 5.10
Obi Wan Kenobi - 8.30
Act of God - 25.60
Mercurious - 6.50

The tri paid 37.80. That is a gift in my opinion. My buddy had this 50x. Of course I lost.

It only cost me 12, 3 on the bottom was the box. 6 combinations, I may have said wrong before 1,2/1,2/all =12

Yeah, I didn't have faith in ST, so I went w/ Obi Wan and lost that one. My pops had it though. He was 6 for 8 when he left before the 9th and I told him to bet that tri and he didn't. He said he didn't have enough time to get home to watch. I gave him a bit of a hard time about that. The kicker was I thought I had a good shot at the pick 4. first 2 were easy enough, then 10th race had 1,7,9 and was getting excited down the stretch w/ PD in the lead and I guess we all know the end of that story. Had 5,7,8 in the 11th for 3/4. Oh well, had a blast anyway.

ok, i understand. I'm glad you did well and that's a nice payoff but as you noted, you got the longest shot on the board to run 3rd. If the 3rd favorite had run third, that $12 ticket would have brought back much less, probably $20 or so. In that case, a $6 Ex box of the first two would have brought back more. You did well, but it's never easy!

You are not kidding there, it was a photo(very close) between the 4(22/1) and the 5(which was like 5/1). Definately Would have cut the Tri down to 20 or worse. It's funny, one of the few times I got the exact senario I wanted. Usually doesn't work that way.
