Default Wegeilia.. (and "Pork Chop".. and Saint)

Just spoke with Mike Trombetta who was of course tickled by Wegeilia's track record setting performance today at Belmont.. Distinct possibility he'll now look to the Summit of Speed at Calder July 15, and the horse FREAKS at Calder. Would have to tackle Fog, but it's a $500,000 nut...

Also look for the one and only 'Pork Chop' (Fleet Valid) Tuesday in the 7th at Delaware Park.. It's an N2X, which he'll dust, and then he might make the Miami run as well for the 3 year old Summit race...

Sweetnorthernsaint returns to training Monday, and Mike hasn't even begun to look ahead yet for him, but has been contacted about coming to the Haskell. Saint would likely make a start in advance of it.

Also check out the two year old filly Mike won with today at Colonial... You'll find her in the race where she beat colts like a good thing at first asking...

Thanks for posting this; I love the inside scoop you provide, Kasept!

Do you have any plans on speaking with Tom Albetrani or Bobby Frankel anytime soon? I'm anxious to find out how Bernardini is doing and when Melhor Ainda will run again........Thanks again!!

Betsy,

We will likely have Tom Albertrani on the show this week, so we'll certainly ask..

And you don't talk to Bobby Frankel... He talks to you... (I kid.. But I think we could get him to come on the show...)

Thanks so much!

LOL about Bobby- he lives next door to my sister and I really should drop in on her so I can "accidentally" bump into him......

Five fillies vs 9 colts and geldings in that race, and the fillies take 5 of the first 6 spots across the finish line. Girl power!
