![]() I need some advice regarding Kentucky Derby tickets. Are 3rd Floor walk around clubhouse tickets worth the price/purchase? Will I be able to see any of the Derby? Are there places to sit down? I have never been to the Derby or Churchill downs and will be going with a group of about 5 people. I am just trying to maximize the experience in relation to cost. I think my biggest concern is not being able to see the race or chill out if needed. I appreciate the help in advance.

![]() I'm not aware of the 3rd floor walk around ticket. I've been going to the Derby since 1969, and either you have a seat, or you get general admission. The 3rd floor was updated 3 years ago, and there are two simulcast areas and a food court. I believe they sell the seats for the simulcast areas. You would not have access to seeing the race. I doubt if there would be any places to sit down. General Admission gives you access to the paddock area, the infield, and the turf terrace (a small grassy area in the clubhouse turn). The best bet is to have seats for the race.

![]() I agree. Get a bleacher seat. Bring a nice thick blanket to sit on so your butt doesnt get sore. Make as many bets as your can at one time. Sit back in the sun, drink some beer and win some money.
