Default Running!!!

I am running For The Winner in the 6th at Golden Gate saturday....He may look like he is in deep, but he is worth a play...Also have 2 in at SA on Sunday..A $10 across the board parlay in the 6th and 7th would pay handsomely if my horses get up in time....

Good Luck Gerson..

Live in Marin County and have been to GG more than a few times...
Steve Miyadi is a great percentage trainer and seems to be a nice guy.

Best of Luck,

Paul

Well, from the chart on the race, looks like there were some big prices, but your horse just didn't have it in him for that day.

Better luck next time, Gerson...

Very cool Gerson! I am a huge fan of Northern California racing and I personally think you've got a great trainer in Steve Miyadi, when he has a horse in a race I frequently assume that his is the winner... would love to know what his secret is...

I had a party at Bay Meadows last year and got to have a winners circle photo taken as part of the group package - his horse won and they usually only have the jockey (Luis Martinez was on top) in the photo but I asked if he would be in the photo, too - he said yes and said we were the first group to ever ask him to be in a group photo - my thought was, how could you not want the trainer in the photo, especially Miyadi at Bay Meadows?

You've got a great trainer, no doubt you'll be in the winners circle soon with him! I'll be watching for you!

Default Steve Miyadi

I'm looking at at Santa Anita PP's this morning and for an example of Steve Miyadi’s "magic", take a look at the PP’s for Bright Prediction running in the first race today. Miyadi had BP back in the winter of 05-06 and obviously saw potential in the horse because he used the top jocks at the time to ride him (Baze/Garcia) but the horse got claimed away from him by Armi/Morey for $6250 (and these guys know good Nor Cal horses since they practically live at the track, you should sit behind their box at Bay Meadows sometime and listen to them, a real good education)… Miyadi claimed BP back after 3 races, raised him up 2 classes and then went on a three race win streak with the horse. Horse gets claimed away again and hasn’t seen the winners circle since… of course that could be because the horse is getting claimed after each race he runs and gets entered at progressively higher class levels. This is a horse that had been running less than a year ago at the $6250 claiming level now running for a $25K tag. Miyadi seems to know exactly what class level a horse can win at – he’s a fun trainer to watch IMO.

By the way, I like BP’s chances in this race, his current trainer has given him two 5f works in consistent 1:00.4's ten days apart… his last two trainers pushed him a little hard and I’m hoping he appreciates the rest. I’m going to do $5 WP and box him with the 3 (Energy Czar and the 9 (Doctor Smartz) who is taking a curious drop from 40K Alw to 22.5K Clm…
