Since I work for a Division I university (in the athletic department) I can't wager on professional or college athletics (NCAA Violation) so I guess that's why I love betting on horses so much... that and poker

Horses(this ranking is by "like" to bet,and not by smartest bet)
Long term baseball,football,basketball (mainly pro) Golf(easiest of the 3) --------------------------------------------- I don't particularly like to play the single game football, baseball,or basketball etc. Too much like like being a crack addict.

Horses. The length of time it takes to run the race usually matches my attention span for sporting events. Sometimes I drift off during the Belmont.
Can someone answer me a stupid question? I thought it was technically illegal to bet on sports that don't involve four-legged athletes. Is that true, or does it vary state to state? I'm not making any sort of value judgment, by the way; I'm genuinely asking because I'm curious {and stupid since I don't know the answer myself}).
