Default Vacare at Fasig-Tipton

Bought for $2.8 million.

Hopefully she'll stay in training next year.

Maybe Oracle can answer this....while that's a ton of money -- wouldn't you think that she's worth more than that based on the potential winnings next year and the residual value from her offspring at auction?

Is it just a take-the-money-now kind of move to be safe?

Actually, I would consider that just about right. The prices were all over. A person I know with a cheap Stormy Atlantic mare from the same family sold her for 800k I believe. She was a cheap blacktype winner at best.

Brian you could also apologize for telling me no way would she and Summerly bring 3 mill. They brought about 6 mill combined, I was pretty much dead on.

Shes worth what someone will pay for her quite frankly, and dirt mares with grade one wins are worth more money than turf mares, at least thats how its been for a while.
I thought she'd bring about what she brought. Congrats to that team for a job well done.

i never once said that. that's insane. you totally misunderstood me in the original thread which i tried to explain to you but you would not recognize anything i was saying after the original post.

i never said she wouldn't be worth that much. i said that i thought she might not sell and wished she would not sell, aka not meet her reserve, so that she could stay in chicago with lothebach and block, which is entirely different than "telling you no way would she bring 3 mill" -- go check out the thread if you're still going to be indignant about it,

so since i never said anything of the sort, i can't apologize for saying it.

good call on the numbers though, very very close

Dude I was ball busting, didn't mean you to take that seriously. I think she may actually have been a bargain dude. Shes only 3, and may bank a lotta cash next year. I wonder who gets her? The kellys use several trainers, maybe Frankel? That would be something to see.

Nah its my fault man. My sarcasm and facial expressions never get understood here. I shoulda put it differently.
I think she may prove to be a real bargain. She could earn a large chunk of that back next year.
