Default Who IS William I Fox - Trainer

Remember a Jockey back in 80's go by that name. He seems to have some of Romans connections and horses. Has Romans been suspended and Fox is an assitant trainer similar to Blasi for Assmussen?

He has a Horse entered into the Darley Alcibiades this friday at KEE with Prado up. Previous trainer listed was Romans.

Anyone with input?

Thanks,
NC Tony

Tony, I think that is the case. Romans has been suspended for 7 days, but that suspension should be coming to an end very soon (if not over already). Fox saddled a horse to a stakes victory in Laurel and Nolans Cat to a last place finish in the Hawthorne GC...

Default Charlie Simon

Thanks for the quick reply folks!!

While we are at it Chuck Simon has few runners on Friday at Keeneland.
Any word on his runners for this weekend? He has his go to guy Bejerano listed on one of them on my first pass for Friday's Keeneland card.

Thanks,

NC Tony

Romans' wife is a pistol.. She's about 4' 8", at the most, and one tough cookie..

I'm confident that someone at DT who works around the Churchill backstretch can relate the story of her punching out a rival female trainer while BOTH were on horseback...

Pretty funny story...

I find it truly amazing the real life , funny, and sentimental stories that evolve or surround the racing community. Someone really should write a book about all the Race Track characters, although the movie let it ride did a fairly decent job of that.
