TwinSpires.com credits players for incorrect takeout by NYRA

TwinSpires.com, the official advance-deposit wagering service for Churchill Downs Incorporated, on Monday, June 4, 2012, credited wagering accounts of players impacted by the New York Racing Association's incorrect takeout rates.

TwinSpires.com account holders, like other players across the country, received incorrect payoffs on wagers made into Trifecta, Superfecta, Pick 3, Pick 4 and Grand Slam pools between September 15, 2010, and December 18, 2011, on NYRA racing.

TwinSpires.com worked with United Tote to recalculate payoffs on over 280,000 wagers for over 22,000 impacted account holders.

As you may be aware, the New York Racing Association operated from September 15, 2010 to December 18, 2011 with incorrect takeout rates for their Trifecta, Superfecta, Pick 3, Pick 4 and Grand Slam pools. These incorrect takeout rates resulted in incorrect payoffs for these wagers.

Since learning about NYRA’s incorrect takeout rates, we have been working with United Tote to recalculate payoffs on 284,974 wagers for the 22,574 TwinSpires.com players impacted.

I was just hoping one day that there would be an adjustment in my account. Honestly though, I'm not holding my breath.

Found Money!!!!!!! $150 credit to my account this morning. This is almost as good as the time I bet $5 WP on a race in AUS on a 10/1 shot that came in 4th. When I checked another bet an hour later, my account was $400 to the good. ???? The bet I made was for the NEXT race and I wasn't aware. The horse was 65/1. Good times.

I think they are making a HUGE mistake not addressing this. We know how it blew up on NYRA once it reached the newspapers. It will reach the newspapers.
