Default That damn topic of GPK

funny thing happened while at the casino, i just done hanging out with friends watching the games. TO ORACLE no I didnt gamble. Just watched the football games on the big screen with some water n sprite n chicken strips. Anyway, I went to the bathroom to piss in the stalls, i was wearing sweatpants with no underwear so I couldnt just pull down and use the urinals. I come across this little wallet left, and first thing in my mind was Kevins post and my exact words were what is this a god damn test of character. So I go ahead take my piss before i look inside the wallet, first a couple of dollars then as i kept flipping the bills a first crisp hundred bill comes across, then another, then another, then another. It came out to around 1021 dollars, along with a guys id, credit card, another credit/debit card. Believe you me I stood in the stall for a good 10 minutes, I thought about morality, integrity, character, what my parents have taught me. So painfully I went ahead and turned it in to the cashiers cage, I havent told anyone yet. Then when I got home and saw my parents I didnt feel stupid, foolish, or regret, I realized I had done the right thing for once. Now I feel better the more I think about it, but god that was so hard.

Like what my dad always says if its yours its yours, if not dont force it or **** around then get in trouble later

Seattle, good post man, but in the future you can kindly leave out the part about whether or not you're wearing underwear...entirely TMI

Seattle, You did the right thing. I'm proud of you. There is only one thing that I think you should have done differently. I think you should have written down the guy's name and tried to contact him. That way you could make sure that the cashier did in fact give the guy his wallet back and that the whole $1021 was still in there. What would prevent the person in the cashier's cage from taking some cash out of the wallet? Another good reason to call the person was because he may have given you a reward and I think you deserved one.

Well, good for you although your lack of wearing undergarment clothing seems to infer another set of issues.

The only problem I have is that you thought it was hard to do. I'm glad that you turned it in, but thats the only thing to do in such cases.
Otherwise you always know you did the wrong thing and it will eat away at you.

Dude, you should've at least snagged a twenty from that wallet. You know, for a three pack of Jockeys.

Kidding, of course. You did the right thing. Here's hoping Karma is good to you.
