OK.. so I was wrong... Wednesday's great day at Belmont WAS duplicatable Thursday.. Well, almost. A debatable DQ to 2nd of 11-1 Citifest in the 6th was all that stood between us and 4 on-top winners (6-1 Prosperous Queen, 4-5 Afrashad, 1-1 Glory at Sea), a second choice winner (15-2 Tipperary) and a 4th choice winner (21-1 Honest Expectation) in the P6 sextet at Big Sandy... That turned out to be significant as a carryover was created in the P6, likely keyed by the bomb in the 7th...

The trifectas weren't as abundant Thursday (8th-$24.40), but exacta boxes in the 5th ($55.50), 7th ($203.50), 8th ($13.20) and 9th ($39.50) were hopefully enough to keep the day profitable and more... Full result below today's selections.

Weather continues to be questionable going into Friday, and the turf is highly doubtful. Saturday should be nice with the Floral Park-Brooklyn card looking attractive, including a very good N1X 6th featuring On Board Again, Oh So Awesome, Superfly and more... Monmouth holds their Jersey Bred day tomorrow, and 123racing.com, an affiliate of 'At the Races and Beyond', will sponsor one of the stakes. You can sign up for the free '123' contest for Monmouth at http://www.123racing.com ... $1,000 available in prize money!!

NOTE: Race hinges on your opinion of heavy fave, #8 Starcastic 8-5... Hasn't worked since blowout debut win, a sign that troubles me... Stretchout and possible slop are additional issues that make him a 'play against'... Will leave him out of top picks, but suggest a cover bet with him as insurance in multi-race ticks...

A. #9 Successful Affair 6-1
B. #2 The Trip Continues 12-1

LONGSHOT/SUPER ADD: #4 Wood Winner (15-1) is possible board lighter if track is anything less than good...
