Default Tom Albertrani

the next Todd Pletcher, one of the best horsemen in the world now. He is 2nd only to Simon Bray as the best trainers to come out of Bill Mott's tutelage

you know Simon Bray does TVG now and he's a freakin' genius
what The Oracle brings to this board, Bray brings to TVG
not sure why he got out of training, but he could if he wanted to
but hey, what's better than being a commentator for TVG?
I don't think any of us board folk would turn down that gig

LoL. Those that can, do...... those that can't...

Both Bray and Lyons wised up and saw the quality of life is much better being an analyst rather than scrambling for owners in SoCal who don't worry about their horses understanding a limey and jameson accent respectively.

Seriously though, I value their insight more than anyone else on TVG and they're funny as hell imo.

I can imagine Frank Lyons as one of those people who don't suffer fools gladly. Which one must do as a trainer, unless one is an icon like Woody Stevens or Charlie Whittingham. Lyons also does 'horse-finding', like he did with Castledale.

I concur. The naysayers may call them failed trainers, but they probably make as much, (maybe more, who knows?) having a plush TV job where you get to watch horse racing all day, without having to be on the backside in the morning. Sounds great to me. Bray can recall minute details from races that happened years ago, he has a wicked memory, that's why I was comparing him to Oracle. Lyons seems very relaxed (chemically induced perhaps?) but I'm sure a lot more so than when he was training for a living.

Tom already received a nice award from the military for doing such a great job with Bernardini.

Well deserved, Tom !!!
